Christ Church of Alton was started in 2008 as a house meeting to fellowship with other believers, worship together and hear the Word of God preached.

After 2 years of meeting, it seemed that the Lord was not in the work and we began to meet with another established work in our area, Providence Presbyterian Church of Edwardsville, IL. We are grateful to the Lord for His kindness in leading us to this fellowship.

It’s a glorious thing to come together with other Christians who have a hunger and thirst for God. Come to hear the Word of God preached and join in worship of the God who has come in the flesh to purchase for Himself, with His own blood, people from every tribe and tongue and people and nation. God invites us to come to Him, hear His word, be refreshed, strengthened, blessed, and renewed to serve Him with gladness and joy! (Isa 55:1-3; Matt 11:28-30; I Pet 2:2)

We also have an urgent call to carry the gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost wherever we live; going to our neighbors, friends and strangers and confronting them with message of the holiness of God, their sin, coming death and judgment, and that they must repent and turn to Jesus Christ to flee from the wrath of God or they will perish in hell for all eternity. The offer of free grace and forgiveness and eternal life is extended to all, for salvation is a free gift of God to all who turn to His Son Jesus Christ. Have you turned to Jesus Christ and trusted in Him alone for forgiveness of your sins and to receive eternal life?
