Tom Rayborn

Tom has been married for over 28 years to Sue Ellen.  They have four children and three grandchildren.  The Lord graciously saved Tom and Sue Ellen in September 1978 and they were married in August 1979.  They were lost in sin, under the wrath of God, and on their way to an eternity in hell.  Their conversions were radical, and the changes in their lives were very real, enduring, and “see-able”.

Having sensed a call to prepare for the ministry, Tom attended Central Bible College in Springfield, MO and graduated in May 1982 with a B.A. in Biblical Studies.  Shortly after graduation he and Sue Ellen returned to Alton and began raising their family and ministering.

For almost 30 years Tom has been preaching in churches and on the streets, one-on-one and open air.  He believes that the gospel of Jesus Christ is for saved and the lost.  The saved are continually nourished on the marvelous grace, love, and mercy found in the gospel of Jesus Christ as they hear it preached.

Tom is gripped with conviction from God’s word that we are obligated to take the gospel to the lost sinner and confront them with the claims of Christ.  The message we go with is both the warnings and the promises.  If the lost sinner remains in their sins, they will perish in hell for all eternity.  If they repent from their sins and turn to Jesus Christ in faith, God will grant great grace for salvation and eternal life.  Salvation is a free gift of God to all who turn to His Son Jesus Christ for forgiveness of sins.  There is no hope for the lost sinner apart from turning to Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12)
